The Town of Hamlin, with the assistance of Hamlin Recreation staff, distributed free face masks to town residents on Saturday, May 9, and Wednesday, May 13. Four free masks per person were given out to the community from an allocation made available by Monroe County. Town Clerk Patty Jo Groenendaal directed traffic in and out of the town parking lot during the distribution event due to the large turnout. More than 24,000 masks were distributed over the two days.
