Clarendon – William “Bill” Hovey, 61, passed away suddenly July 10, 2020. Bill was born July 25, 1958, in Clarkson, a son of the late William J. and Margery (Dunn) Hovey. He was a dedicated ready-mix driver for 35 years, for Northrup Materials. Bill loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed planting, trimming and selling Christmas Trees with his best friend, Don Shetler. Bill’s love of his family and the Lord were the most important things to him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Aasa; children, Ricicha (Chad) Francisco, Danielle (Chris) English and Corinne (Kyle Steadman) VanSchoick; grandchildren, Delaney, Tegan, Paisley, James and Mia; siblings, Dorothy Fitzgerald, Pat Kelley, Barbara (Lewis) Frederick, Carol Hazlett, Joyce Brice, Bruce Hovey and Robert (Carla) Hovey; Goddaughter, Cheyenne Hovey and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A private funeral service will be held by the family. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery in Holley, Monday, July 20, at 3:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the Clarendon Fire Co. P.O. Box 136, Clarendon, NY 14429 or Holley Assembly of God Church, 54 N. Main St. Holley, NY 14470.
