On Saturday, October 31, the Brockport Area Vets Club Ladies Auxiliary, together with the Brockport Lions Club, held its first Halloween Trunk ’N’ Treat event. Pictured are some of the Lions who supported the event. More than 20 participants came with their vehicles and candy, including four cars and eight students from SUNY Brockport’s Physical Education Majors Club. They treated the more than 200 children who attended with parents and friends. The weather was seasonable and a good time was had by all. The event was made possible with the support of several area businesses and organizations, including Brightly Farms, Alexander’s Service, Stokoe Farms, Brockport Police, Brockport Fire Department, Brockport Exempts, and others. Organizers hope to make this an annual event, given the success of this first venture.
