Kenneth E. Bater
Morongo Valley, CA: Kenneth E. Bater, formerly of Churchville, died November 29, 2020, at 84 years of age. Ken was predeceased by parents Richard and Helen, brothers Raymond and Leslie, wife Emily. Survived by wife Gloria; sons Todd (Sharon Kollar), Paul (Katie), Scott (Kristin), and Lamon Bater; sister Ruby Lewis; brother Wesley; grandson Paul Kenneth; and by his loveable ‘boys’ Teddy, Johnny and PeeWee.
Ken served with the National Guard and was a past member of the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department. He was a past employee of the Village of Churchville and was a retiree of both Eastman Kodak Company and Churchville-Chili Central School District. Ken’s passion in life was to get up early, head out the door and onto his tractor to do the job at hand that needed doing. His strong work ethic along with his steady, upright way of life, spoke volumes to those he lived amongst in his final years. Ken was well respected and greatly loved by all.
At Ken’s request, his body was donated to Bodies for Science Program, a division of Loma Linda University, Loma Linda, California. A celebration of Ken’s life was observed December 7, 2020 on the home property in California. Donations can be made to the Churchville Volunteer Fire Department in his memory.
