The 16th annual March Madness benefit basketball game between the Churchville-Chili LEO Club and the Churchville Lions Club is set for Sunday, March 2 at 1 p.m. at the new Middle School gym (Fairbanks Road campus entrance and door #37).
This year the event will benefit the Dan Kweicien family. Dan is a fireman in Henrietta and his wife, Catherine, is a teacher at the Churchville-Chili Middle School. Their two-year-old daughter, Kailee, is battling a muscle cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma, which involves an extensive and expensive series of chemo and radiation treatments. “Kailee still shows more energy than one would think possible and rarely shows signs of being affected by everything she is going through,” says Dan.
All funds raised will be donated to the family for medical expenses.
