•Menzie, Ellen Eva (Franklin), died February 20, 2014 at age 93. Predeceased by husband, John (Bud) Menzie; parents, Chauncey and Margaret Franklin; brothers, Alton and James Franklin; sisters, Doris Hamm and Lorraine Franklin. Survived by children, Richard (Penny) Menzie, Diane (Wayne) Griffin, James Menzie and Gerald (Tammy) Menzie; godson, Robert (Debbie) Riley; goddaughter, Margaret Riordan; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane Riley; sisters-in-law, Rita Franklin and Sally Richardson; many nieces and nephews; faithful companions, “Molly” and “Luna.” Ellen was a member of the Bergen American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, St. Brigid’s Church, Rose Garden Junior Bowling program and lifetime member of the Genesee ARC.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated February 24 at St. Brigid’s Church, Bergen. Private interment. Contributions can be made to the Genesee ARC, 64 Walnut Street, Batavia, NY 14020 in her memory.
