We believe Vanessa was wrongfully accused based on her breed- being part of the pitbull/bully family. Sadly, this is something that happened far too often. People have a breed bias against a dog that was originally raised to be a nanny dog for the children of the home. I’ve had pits all my life and they are the sweetest, most loyal and cuddly dogs you will ever have! Vanessa never should have been kept in a cage for so long… and she never should have been restricted from walks or been hosed down while inside her cage. The town of Ogden has extremely high euthanasia records compared to surrounding towns. I will forever stand up for pits and teach about BSL. Together we can be a voice for dogs that are victims of abuse and end the pitbull stigma!
