Gates – Born September 20, 1935 in Watertown, NY. He passed away May 31, 2021 at the age of 85. Michael was predeceased by his first wife, Florence (Jacunski). He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Kathleen (Lingeman); and his children, Tamara (Michael) Bender, David (Christine) O’Neil and Anne (Steven) Wall. His extended family included Michael (Anne) Lingeman, Ann (Andrew) Lembaris, Mary Guyette, Teresa (David) Switzer, along with 22 grandchildren. Michael enjoyed his retirement after 31 years of teaching in the Rochester City School District.
Friends are invited to his Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30AM at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Foodlink.
