Legion Auxiliary team building project

On Sunday, March 27, several members of Ferris Goodridge American Legion Auxiliary Unit #330 took part in a team-building event, filling pillowcases with items for children experiencing homelessness. Supplies placed in the pillowcases included games, small bottles of water, small juice packs, dental supplies, books, and underwear, just to mention a few. The pillowcases were filled according to age groups – boy, girl, baby, and neutral. Once filled, a total of 73 bags were taken to Deacon Dan at St. Charles Borromeo Church on Dewey Avenue. He then took them to Betheny House for distribution. The Auxiliary hopes to do this event again in the future.
