•Schmitz, Thomas G., on May 17, 2014, after a courageous battle, at age 72. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Rita; his sister, Rita Wilcox. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Jacqueline; daughters, Mary (Paul) Auersperg, Patricia Schmitz and Kathleen (Tim Stames) Schmitz; grandchildren, Julie and Brian Auersperg; brother, Arthur Jr. (Elizabeth) Schmitz; sister, Mary (Michael) Stoll; brother-in-law, Ray (Margaret) Wilcox; several nieces and nephews. Thomas retired from his position as the Brockport Postmaster in 1999.
A Funeral Mass was held May 22 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Greece. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
