Thank you Spencerport HS Service Club
Saturday, April 30, was a pleasant morning with sunshine. By 9 a.m., parents dropped off student members of the Spencerport High School Service Club for a volunteer project.
With Spencerport High School teachers, Ms. Morris and Mr. Gerhardt, and SAHARO Board members, Greg Dorgan and Carol Nellis-Ewell, the students cleaned up the garden and grounds of the Ogden Senior Center (OSC), 200 South Union Street, Spencerport.
By 11 a.m., dozens of bags were stuffed with debris – leaves, sticks, trash and weeds – leftovers from fall and winter.
Thank you to Addison, Gretel, Julia, Leah, and Lukas.
OSC is the location of the Town of Ogden Nutrition Program on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (lunch at noon, $3.50 or ability to pay). Community members aged 60 and older are invited to join. Call 352-3250.
Enjoy activities like chair exercise, cards/games, crafts, Lifespan presentations, outings with transportation (Lilac Festival), puzzles, therapy dog visits, travelogs, trivia, and socialization, all in a comfortable, home-like setting with a friendly staff. OSC is managed by Ogden Parks & Recreation.
