Chili – Born August 1937 in Cuba, NY. Passed Monday, June 6, 2022. Survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald McCullough; daughter, Cheryl Ann McCullough; sons, Marc McCullough and Christopher McCullough (Karie); sister, Sandra Brown; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Beverly graduated from Hinsdale Central School in 1955. She attended and graduated from SUNY Brockport in 1959. She became an elementary teacher, teaching grades K-6, while raising her family of 3. She taught in Smithtown, Long Island, Gates-Chili, Churchville-Chili and subbed at various schools, including the Rochester City School District, Spencerport and BOCES. Beverly retired from Churchville in 1995.

She was predeceased by her father, Irving Brown; mother, Lucille Folts Brown-Gray; step-mother, Barbara Black Brown; brother-in-law, P. Thomas Brown; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

As a teacher Beverly helped shape the life of many students. At home, she enjoyed taking care of her flower gardens as well as helping with the vegetable garden. She also enjoyed the companionship of our 6 Weinaraners over a 38 year period. She enjoyed sailing, but her greatest passion was downhill skiing with her family for many years. She skied in NY, Vermont, Maine, Colorado and Austria. She and Don vacationed in Bermuda, 4 of the Hawaiian Islands, Zurich, Switzerland, Venice, Italy and Innsbruck, Austria, along with trips to Toronto to enjoy the theater, the trade off for going to a Yankees game. She was also active with a group called the Big Six. Six girls started this in Hinsdale Central School and, as of her passing, this group was still active with weekly chats. Over the years the six vacationed at Letchworth State Park, Chautauqua Lake, Lancaster, PA and in Arizona. Bev had many other friends, lifelong ones, she made while in college, teaching, playing bridge, being a wife and mom. People always describe her as amazing, wonderful, compassionate, caring, loyal, strong, sweet, kind, loving and determined just to name a few.

The family would like to thank Dr. Richard Dunne, Sue Richards, Nicole, Patricia and the entire staff at the URMC Wilmot Cancer Center, the U of R Palliative Care team and the Aurora House.

Family and friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Friday 3-6pm . Funeral Service to immediately follow calling at 6pm at the funeral home. Private family interment at Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Aurora House in Spencerport, NY
