On July 6, the Brockport Rotary Club kicked off its second annual Rotary Reads in the Park Series with Col. Dan Fletcher of the ROTC program at SUNY Brockport. A small but dedicated group spent an evening in Harvester Park reading poems and stories around the theme of “America, my Country.” A collection was taken for the Veterans’ Outreach Center. Mayor Blackman will be the guest reader on July 13. Families are invited to Harvester Park for summer bedtime stories beginning at 7 p.m.
