Cathy DeBellis, Director of Programs for The Strong National Museum of Play, recently spoke to Kiwanis Club of Greece about the benefits of Generation Two (G2) Program. She also thanked the Club for their $3,000 sponsorship of a G2 classroom, for the 2nd year in a row, at Autumn Lane Elementary School in Greece.
G2 is an organization of specially trained volunteers and support staff who promote social, emotional and intellectual strength for all children. G2 employs play and intergenerational friendship to enhance the child’s development. In weekly sessions, each child meets with an adult volunteer trained in child-directed play, creating a collaboration that becomes a medium for personal growth.
