The Brockport Central School District Board of Education is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, February 15, at 6:15 p.m. in the Hill School Cafetorium to revisit the Chapter 518 of the Laws of 2013, signed by Governor Cuomo on December 18, 2013, Partial Property Tax Exemption for Qualifying Veterans.
The legislation provides for lowering the property tax bill for qualifying veterans within the Brockport Central School District. New York State does not cover the cost of the exemptions; costs are shifted to all other Brockport Central School District properties. The overall effect is neutral to the school district.
