A few years back, as a community service, the Spencerport Rotary Club adopted a portion of the Erie Canal, on the north side, from the Rt. 259 bridge to the Gillette Road bridge. Rotarians walk the canal throughout the year to clean up any litter they see. A new sponsorship sign was recently posted alerting canal walkers of the club’s sponsorship. Club President Dave DeMers is shown installing the sign. Here’s to enjoying our beautiful canal and keeping it pristine.
