Friday, June 16, 2023 at age 97.
Born and raised in Green Bay, WI. Predeceased by her husband of 76 years, Donald A. Gordon; brother, Jack Sorge; grandson, Jeffrey; and great-granddaughter, Sophia. Survived by her daughters, Janet Bonner and Barbara Thompson; grandsons, Ryan Thompson and George Bonner; great-grandsons, Luke, Louie and Gordon Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in accounting. She was a Braille transcriber and an adult education teacher at Gates- Chili School District. Her greatest passion for over 60 years was her embroidery and quilting. She was a member of the Embroider’s Guild of America since 1985.
Private service and interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mercy Flight.
