•Silka, Winifred M., formerly of Amsterdam, New York, died August 22, 2014 at age 92. She was predeceased by her husband Max and brother Edward Wyzykowski. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Pat and Bill Leonard; sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. She also leaves her loyal cat “Hoppy.” Winnie worked for Mohawk Carpets and Breton Industries in Amsterdam. She was active at the Ogden Seniors.
Burial will be in Amsterdam and a mass in her memory will be held on September 8 at 8 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport.
