Spencerport Stars and Stripes

Spencerport Stars and Stripes is a new program being introduced by Spencerport Rotary Club. Just ahead of four patriotic holidays – Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day – volunteers will place a three by five-foot United States flag on an eight-foot wooden pole in the yard of a home or business. They will remove it a few days later.

The Rotary recommends this service as a gift for someone who “has everything” or who does not wish to maintain a flag on their property full-time. All products are of the highest quality and made in the USA.

The club’s goal is to place 50 flags each holiday and they look forward to seeing dozens of U.S. flags flying all over Spencerport.

One must reside within the Spencerport Central School district to subscribe. Subscriptions are $75 per year and can be purchased online at http://www.SpencerportStarsandStripes.org.

The proceeds from the flag program enable the Spencerport Rotary to fund a variety of health, humanitarian, and youth service programs throughout the local community and the broader world.
