Brockport’s Park Avenue bridge closing for emergency repairs

New York State Canal Corporation will be closing Brockport’s Park Avenue lift bridge to vehicular and pedestrian traffic starting Monday, July 25, for emergency repairs on the lifting mechanism that raises the bridge for vessels navigating on the canal.

It is anticipated that this work will be completed in approximately three weeks and throughout the duration of the repair, the lift bridge will be in the raised position. Motorists and pedestrians should use the Main Street Lift Bridge throughout the duration of the repair. Boats traveling on the canal will not be impacted.

The Village of Brockport and the New York State Canal Corporation appreciate the public’s patience while this emergency work is completed.
