Brockport HS students earn Seal of Biliteracy

The Brockport High School Department of World Languages recognized 14 graduating seniors for earning their New York State Seal of Biliteracy in 2024: Olivia Allen (French), Dalia Angel (Spanish), Javier Benzan (Spanish), Ally Fien (Spanish), John Galbreth (French), Chris Guthrie (French), Diego Arellano Jasso (Spanish), Jason Kleehammer (Spanish), Karina Kozlyuk (double seal in Spanish and Ukrainian), Elizabeth Kuhlkin (Spanish), Tess Neilans (French), Sarah Tantalo (Spanish), Sophia Visconte (Spanish), and Prophecy Wood (French). The New York State Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who have studied and attained a high proficiency in English and another language by high school graduation. This allows students to celebrate a love for languages and cultural diversity. Students selected a topic of their choice to research connecting to the second language. As part of their research, they identified past, present, and future components of their chosen topic to discuss. Not pictured: Diego Arellano Jasso, Tess Neilans, and Dalia Angel.
