Christina Buckner, Age 45, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 17, 2024 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her Husband Brian T. Buckner, Daughters; Brynn and Paige Buckner, Parents; Frank and Jamie Stancato, Siblings; Julia (Greg) Rogers, Frank (Janessa) Stancato, Mother-In-Law; Kathleen Buckner, Brother-In-Law; Elliott (Joelle) Buckner, Nieces and Nephews; Oliver, Abby, Austin, Kenslee, and Nicholas. She is predeceased by her grandparents; Frank and Jean Stancato, Francis and Mary Helen Maguire, Father-In-Law; Raymond Buckner.
Born on Christmas day 1978, Christina grew up in Liverpool NY and then attended SUNY Fredonia, graduating in 2001. She then went onto begin her career as a science teacher at the Spencerport School District where she passionately served for 20 years. In addition to teaching, Christina was actively involved in the school and community, often volunteering and giving of her time and talents to various causes and organizations. Family, friends, and faith built the foundation of Christina’s life. She loved traveling, crafting, and attending her children’s various sporting events.
Calling Hours will be held on Monday, July 22, 2024 from 4-7pm at Walker Brothers Funeral Home (15 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY, 14559). A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at St. John the Evangelist Church (55 Martha Street, Spencerport, NY, 14559).
