Trolley and train rides at the Rush Fall Festival

The 22nd annual Rush Fall Festival takes place on Saturday, September 28, at a new location adjacent to the New York Museum of Transportation.

Among the many features of the festival, there will be trolley and train rides that include visits to both the New York Museum of Transportation and the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.

Rides will depart from the transportation museum throughout the day, with the vintage trolley car connecting to a real freight train. The railroad museum will feature an N-scale model railroad and a huge collection of full-size train cars and diesel locomotives. At the transportation museum, trolleys, a steam locomotive, model railroads and the Midtown Plaza Monorail will delight visitors of all ages. Tickets will be sold at the fair for $12 per person; free for those age four and younger.

In addition to the trolley and train rides, features of the Rush Fall Festival this year include a pancake breakfast, tractor show, dog parade (with prizes), pony rides at “A Horse’s Friend,” face painting, food vendors, adult and youth bake-offs, and a pie eating contest.

The Rush Fall Festival is located at 6565 East River Road, Rush, and will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the festival is free.
