New Spencerport veterinary health care facility holds ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house

Heidi Wendel, DVM, MPH and Dean Snyder, DVM, PE, in conjunction with the Spencerport Area Chamber of Commerce, held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at the new Erie Canal Animal Hospital, 370 South Union Street, Spencerport. This new 3,300 square foot facility was dedicated to Dr. George and Monica McKinney who provided veterinary care for farm animals and pets for 60 years from this same site.

Doctors Wendel and Snyder were joined by County Executive Maggie Brooks, Dr. Ralph McKinney, son of the late Dr. George McKinney; Jill Cordts, president SACC; Gay Lenhard, Ogden supervisor; Glenn Granger, Spencerport mayor; Peter Lawrence, NYS Assemblyman-elect for the ribbon cutting ceremony.

An Open House followed the ceremony where the public had an opportunity to tour this new health care facility.
