Greece Chamber President and CEO Sarah Lentini announces retirement

On January 26, 2024, Greece Regional Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Sarah Lentini announced her retirement from the Chamber effective at the end of February.

The Greece Regional Chamber serves businesses, nonprofits and individuals throughout Monroe County and the region. The organization provides networking, advocacy, business services and recognition, meeting space, health insurance, and advertising and marketing opportunities. During her tenure, Lentini spearheaded a strategic planning process and a rebranding campaign, resulting in an organizational name change, new membership benefits and materials, and new premium membership packages. She redesigned the organizational website and logo with a new motto/tagline, and in 2017 launched Business Voice, a one-hour radio show and podcast on WYSL, which she programmed and hosted. During COVID 19, Lentini worked closely with the Rochester Office of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and area lenders to assist businesses in accessing resources, and she continued to serve members with remote meetings and essential services.

“I have been honored to serve as President and CEO of the Chamber since my appointment in 2014,” said Sarah Lentini. “It has been a wonderful and fulfilling role, and I have been blessed to work with a great membership and staff team and a great board of directors with exemplary board leadership. I wish the Chamber the very best.”

Eugene Welch, an Attorney at the Law Firm of Tully Rinckey, PLLC and Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, said he is saddened at her retirement: “Sarah has done so much to help the Chamber and the Greece community.  She kept the Chamber up and running as a vital community organization during COVID when many businesses had to close their doors. She is a joy to work with and gets things done. But she is entitled to retire and we all wish her well.”

Since her announcement in late January, Lentini has worked with the board and the staff on a successful transition and the search for her replacement.
