Ogden resident and Civil War historian Fred Holbrook will conduct a tour of graves of Civil War soldiers buried in Fairfield Cemetery in Spencerport village. The tour is Saturday, September 28 at 10 a.m. and will be held rain or shine.
Participants are asked to register as space is limited. Call the reception desk at the Ogden Town Hall, 617-6100, or email Ogden Historian Carol Coburn carcob@rochester.rr.com.
The cemetery is located on Route 259 across from the intersection of Old Brockport-Spencerport Road. Parking is available in a lot across the street. Participants are asked to park away from the building and to cross the street carefully.
