Something for everyone at the 2013 Hilton Apple Fest

Whether you’re a foodie, love arts and crafts or music is your passion, you’ll find something of interest at the 2013 Hilton Apple Fest. The Apple Fest will take place on Saturday, October 5, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Village of Hilton Community Center on Henry Street. In the past, this popular fall event has attracted over 70,000 people to the Village of Hilton and each year, the event grows.
A record number of arts and crafters are expected to showcase their goods at the Apple Fest. These 140 artists will sell a host of items including pottery, photography, jewelry, glassware and much more. New Apple Fest artists include a caricature artist and a crafter who makes rose candles. Apple Fest board member Terry Quetschenbach coordinates the arts and crafts portion of the Apple Fest. She attributes the growth of the fest to many reasons.
“We have artists traveling from Ohio, Florida, Vermont, Connecticut and Wisconsin.  Artists tell us that they enjoy coming to the Apple Fest because it is a unique festival that is well-organized by a team of volunteers,” Quetschenbach said.
A full schedule of entertainers is planned for this year’s Apple Fest from children’s performers at the M&T Stage at the Kids Korner to area performers and musicians set to entertain crowds at three locations, the Summit Stage, Blacktop and Legacy Gazebo.
