The Spencerport Community Chorus will resume rehearsals on Sunday, January 4 to prepare for the Spring Concerts which will be on March 21 at 7 p.m. and on Sunday, March 22 at 3 p.m. Rehearsals will be at the Spencerport Wesleyan Church on Sunday afternoons from 2 until 4:15 p.m. Concerts will be held at the Ogden Presbyterian Church. All interested singers are welcome to join us for this exciting Spring season.
On February 1, the chorus will have its second recording session for the CD which is being prepared. February 8, the Chorus will be participating in the PRISM concert sponsored by the Greater Rochester Choral Consortium. There will be 19 choruses from the Rochester area participating in this event which will be held at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.
After many years of dedicated service to this organization both the director, Margaret Page Colucci and the accompanist, Margaret Johnson, will be retiring at the end of the Spring Session. The Chorus is in the process of selecting a new director and accompanist to continue the work and keep the Spencerport Community Chorus a group which can continue to bring pleasure to the friends and neighbors of Spencerport.
