New events come to the Ogden Senior Center

With 985 events on 2015’s activity calendar, Ogden Senior Citizens is working to break the record for 2016. They have loaded their Friday schedules to the brim with fun. New every Friday morning this year:

•Exercise 2 with exercise professional Katie Torres, to fulfill the many requests for a continuation of her great Wednesday 1-hour sit-and-stand balance class. Begins at 9 a.m. Monthly fee costs $5.

•Model Maker Club with John Groves. John will advise participants on building their own model from scratch or constructing a model kit. Begins at 10 a.m. No cost.

•Bored? Board Games led by Linda Groves. Linda will share her collection of more than 800 board games with the center, with new games introduced each week. Begins at 10 a.m.

All of the “regular” activities still keep the parking lot full, so come early and plan to stay for lunch at noon. The best $3 lunch in town is followed with cards, Po Ke No, Bingo, or euchre. Membership in the Ogden Senior Center is free for all over 60. Have fun together on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
