New pastor appointed to Spencerport Churches

Bishop Mark Webb of the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church has appointed Pastor John Laskowski to be the pastor of the Adams Basin United Methodist Church and Spencerport United Methodist Church effective as of July 1.

Pastor John Laskowski or “Pastor Jack” has been in the ministry since 2001, and completed his course of study in 2011 at the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C. He comes to Spencerport after having served the congregations of the Albion and Disciples (Holley) United Methodist Churches since 2012.

Originally from the Binghamton, New York area, Pastor Jack  has also served the Wesley/Nanticoke in Endicott, New York, Central/Askam in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and the Covington/Fowlerville, New York, United Methodist Churches.

Pastor Jack loves to sing and is energized through his preaching and teaching of adult Bible studies and has a passion for mission work. He also enjoys getting outdoors by hiking, backpacking, fishing and golfing.

He and his wife Deborah have two adult daughters and three grandchildren who all live in the Spencerport area.

Come welcome Pastor Jack to the community by attending one of the church’s worship services. The worship service starts at 9 a.m. at Adams Basin UMC, and at 10:30 a.m. at Spencerport UMC. Adams Basin UMC is located at 4292 Canal Road in Spencerport. Spencerport UMC is located at 30 Amity Street in downtown Spencerport.
