Race through history at GCVM

Warm up for the running season with a Race Through History – literally – Genesee Country Village & Museum’s inaugural 5K fundraiser on Saturday, May 20. The race begins at 9 a.m. and is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

With a course that winds through springtime woods, open fields and a historic 19th-century village, runners and walkers will be constantly showered with changing vistas. However, while trails are groomed, they are uneven in parts.

Participants will receive free admission to the museum for the remainder of the day and are encouraged to dress as a historic character or just in historic costumes. A prize will be awarded for the best costume. Each contestant will also receive a T-shirt and chip-timed race results.

Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. and participants must be pre-registered to race. Entry fee is $30/$25 members. Register online at www.gcv.org.
