The Lake to Lake Quilt Guild celebrates its 32nd year with its “Spring Into Color” Quilt Show to be held May 19 and 20, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, at the Geneva Community Center, 160 Carter Street, Geneva, just north of Geneva High School. Admission is $6, children under 12 are free. Food is available for purchase onsite. The featured speaker this year is Cèleste Compion from meerkat trading company who will present a lecture about Shweshwe fabrics from South Africa, entitled, “The Bolt and the Beautiful – The Shweshwe Saga”, a fascinating look at the history and the fabrics. Part of the proceeds will benefit the New Hope Cancer Care Center in Penn Yan at the Living Well this year.
