GRQC seeks “Day of Quality” participants

Greater Rochester Quality Council Day to improve efficiency

Greater Rochester Quality Council, a Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce affiliate, has issued a call for participants for its annual Day of Quality, Thursday, October 4. The Day of Quality deploys teams of GRQC volunteer experts to lead projects aimed at lowering costs, time savings, improved simplification, and greater customer satisfaction.  Not-for-profits, businesses, schools, and churches are welcome to apply.  More than 25 organizations have benefited, at no cost, since the event began five years ago.

New this year is an optional and unique free half-day class on Thursday, July 19, for any interested participants who wish to learn about this event, the quality process and related tools, and proven methods to identify target processes for maximum impact.  Interested organizations can attend the class and get help to identify a potential process for deeper GRQC focus.  Advance class registration is required by Monday, July 16. Deadline for Day of Quality applications is Monday, August 13.

All details on the application process, a complete brochure, the optional free class registration, and other Day of Quality event details can be found at: http://www.grqc.org/GRQC-Day-of-Quality.aspx.

The Day of Quality culminates in a celebration featuring the highlights of enhanced processes from each participating organization on October 18.

Father Paul English, CSB, of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, a 2017 Day of Quality participant, said, “Our own team members were very active participants, with GRQC professionals, in the development of a process solution that provided immediate and very measurable benefits.  We have a good start to master these quality tools to use on more processes.  This was not only a day well-spent.  It was an investment in our future”

Day of Quality is part of GRQC’s vision to establish the Greater Rochester community as a nationally recognized showplace for performance excellence. Learn more about GRQC membership at http://www.grqc.org
