Bergen’s Sage Pavilion will dedicate interior window painting
This new interior window painting at Bergen’s Sage Pavilion will be dedicated during a brief ceremony on Thursday, June 20, at 4 p.m. It is the work of Bergen artist David Burke. Sage Pavilion is located at Hartland Park, on the opposite side of Lake Street from Hickory Park. The Village of Bergen has received two awards this year for their restoration efforts in transforming a deteriorating water pump building into a featured gathering space for the community. The Sage Pavilion was named the American Public Works Western New York Project of the Year in January, and the New York State Conference of Mayors awarded Bergen with their Local Government Achievement Award for 2019 in May. Gary McCarthy, president of NYCOM, said, “The Sage Pavilion Project will benefit Bergen for years to come and is just one example of how local officials continue to work diligently to enhance their communities and the quality of life for their residents.”
