Members of the Chili Chain Gang (about 30 of them) spend two hours each week making items for the troops, hospitals, The Salvation Army, and Ronald McDonald House, just to mention a few. Over the course of the last few years, these ladies have made Christmas ornaments that are sent overseas in Christmas stockings for the troops. The gesture is made to help military men and women through the holidays spent away from family and friends. Anyone interested in joining is invited to drop in at the Chili Senior Center, 3235 Chili Avenue, any Wednesday around 1 p.m. and ask for the Chili Chain Gang.
