Ogden Historical Society news

The Colby Pulver House is closed this summer but still has things to share with the community.

Stop by the gardens at the Colby Pulver House anytime and take in the beauty that nature has to offer. There will be a Garden Guide available on Wednesday mornings from 9 a.m. to noon to answer questions. The daylilies are more beautiful than last year and peak bloom is now thru mid August.

The historical society works year round to investigate, preserve and promote Ogden’s history

Winter is when the group researches and prepares the new exhibits. A video tour of the 2020 exhibits has been created. Visit the Ogden Historical Society – Ogden, New York page on Facebook to see the video.

In August, the Ogden Historical Society will sponsor a town-wide scavenger hunt for Ogden’s people, places, and things. Details will be available at ogdenhistoricalsociety.org on August 1.

The season finale will be the Annual Daylily Sale. A number of the plants in OHS’s American Daylily Society Designated Historic Daylily Display Garden have been divided and will be made available to the public. Stop by the Colby Pulver House, 568 Colby Street, Spencerport, on August 28, 29, or 30 to purchase a colorful future for your garden and the Town of Ogden. Plants will be available at the price of $5 per pot.
