On Saturday, April 18, almost 50 volunteers dedicated their time and effort by picking up and beautifying Churchville Park from winter debris, broken limbs, and last year’s trash to help get the park looking great for spring and summer.
In cooperation with Monroe County Parks, the following individuals and organizations came together to support this effort: the Town of Riga, Village of Churchville, Chamber of Commerce, Churchville Lions and LEO clubs, Harvey C. Noone Post #945, Boy Scout Troop 133, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Waste Management, and Monroe County Pharmaceutical Recycling.
After cleanup efforts concluded, the Riga Recreation Department provided pizza and snacks for all participants.
