The 2026 SkillsUSA National Signing Day took place on May 6 at Lowe’s Home Improvement in Brockport. Nine Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES 2 Career and Technical Education students participated in the nationwide event celebrating future skilled trades and technical professionals through commitments to apprenticeships, internships, employment, and continued technical training.
Students walked the “blue carpet” and signed letters of intent recognizing their next steps after graduation. Student signers included Emma Kinz (Greece), Josiah Abrams (Gates Chili), Bernardo Amato (Greece), Blake Coleman (Holley), Brendan Fien (Brockport), Michael Hare (Hilton), Aaron Johnson (Greece), Ryan Kropidlowski (Churchville-Chili), and Isaiah Montanez (Greece).
Participants also received DeWalt tool backpacks and participated in hands-on skills challenges connected to their fields of study.
