Lions Club of Chili Celebrates End of Service Year

The Lions Club of Chili recently celebrated the end of its service year with a picnic at Union Station Park in Chili. It was a day to reflect on the club’s events and service projects, and also to celebrate its members and their families.

Lion Sherry Vitale received the Lion of the Year Award for her continued leadership and service in providing meals, clothing, and hope to the unhoused community in Rochester.

Two Lions received the Robert J. Uplinger Distinguished Service Award. Lion Larry Lazenby was recognized for his outstanding service in the community, and Lion Cristina Candelaria was recognized for her outstanding service in the community and marketing.

There was also a special recognition honoring Lion Bonnie Platt for her many years of devotion to the Lions Club of Chili and her family. Her legacy of service will be remembered for generations to come.

  • Marketing Chair: Cristina Candelaria 
  • Tail Twister: Dorinda Foos 

The Lions Club of Chili looks forward to many exciting projects and events planned for the community in the year ahead.
