Donations Sought for Purple Pony’s Treasure Sale

Purple Pony Therapeutic Horsemanship will be having its biennial Treasure Sale on Saturday and Sunday, August 8 and 9, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8321 Lake Street Road (Route 19), LeRoy. This event will be a large indoor sale with all proceeds benefiting the non-profit organization.

Purple Pony is seeking donations of gently used items that are in good working condition for the sale. Donations are being accepted from July 1 to July 31, Monday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to noon. Donations cannot be accepted before or after these dates or outside of the indicated hours.

Items that can be accepted include household goods, area rugs, jewelry, sporting goods, books, infant care, toys, lawn and garden, small and medium furniture, tools, horse tack, and more. They cannot accept large appliances, large exercise equipment, large, upholstered furniture, hazardous liquids, computers, TVs, or VHS tapes. Purple Pony Therapeutic Horsemanship is a 501(c)(3) organization run entirely by volunteers. Founded in 2006, Purple Pony provides instruction in equine activities by Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) certified instructors to individuals with a variety of disabilities or diverse needs.
