Ron Johnston (Churchville-Chili Class of 1966) was inducted into the Southeastern Ohio Slow Pitch Softball Hall of Fame during a ceremony at VFW Post 39 in Pomeroy, Ohio, on Saturday, July 18, 2026. He was recognized for his career accomplishments, dedication, and the lasting impression he has made on Men’s Slow Pitch Softball in Southeastern Ohio through his promotion of softball as a sportswriter for the Marietta Times.
Johnston was inducted into the Mid-Ohio Valley Softball Hall of Fame last year.
