The Brockport Lions Club recently donated $2,880 to the Brockport School Backpack program, which provides students with enough food on Fridays to carry them through the weekend. Lions Club members presented the check to Brockport CSD Superintendent Sean Bruno. The donation was made possible by a matching grant from the Brandel Murphy Foundation that supports children’s needs across NYS and is part of the NYS Lions Organization.
The Lions also teamed up with Back Porch 585 restaurant, whose owner, David, matched the club’s $800 donation to support victims of the June 21 apartment building fire in Clarkson. David is shown receiving the check from Lions members.
