Opinion & Comments: Hilton Alumni Association Thanks Community for Homecoming Spirit

The Hilton Alumni Association extends its sincere appreciation to the local businesses, organizations, and community members who helped make this year’s Spirit Week and Homecoming celebration memorable.

Throughout Spirit Week, Hilton businesses helped bring school spirit into the community by decorating storefronts in red, white, and black, offering special menu items, displaying Cadet pride, and participating in the Homecoming Parade. Their involvement made the celebration more than a school event—it became a community event.

The Alumni Association offers special thanks to Caraglio’s Pizza, Carbone’s Pizza, Casuallure, Heart of Hilton, Integrated Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, M & T Bank, Razzle Dazzle Childcare, Salvatore’s Pizza, Signs, Graphics & More, The Hobby Shop, Salvatore’s Pizza, The Arlington Gastropub, and Tops Friendly Market for joining in the festivities and helping to “Paint the Town Red, White & Black.” We may have missed you if your decor was inside; our apologies for any oversight.

The association also thanks Mayor Andrew Fowler for the “Go Cadets!” lamppost signs displayed throughout the village. The signs added to the festive atmosphere and provided a visible welcome to residents, alumni, and visitors during Homecoming week.

Special appreciation also goes to Jessica Gaspar and The Hilton Record as well as Westside News for helping spread the word about Spirit Week and highlighting the people, businesses, schools, and organizations that contribute to the Hilton community.

The Homecoming Parade brought together students, alumni, educators, families, businesses and community members. Alumni had the opportunity to walk and ride together in the parade while residents lined the route to cheer on the many participants.

For the Hilton Alumni Association, the week was also a reminder that the connection to Hilton does not end at graduation. The association’s mission is to connect alumni, educators, and the community in service to today’s students, and Spirit Week provided a wonderful example of that mission in action.

The Hilton Alumni Association thanks everyone who decorated a storefront, offered a special menu, participated in the parade, promoted the festivities, attended an event, cheered from the parade route, or simply wore red, white, and black in support of Hilton.

The strong participation throughout the week demonstrated something generations of Hilton graduates know well: Cadet pride continues long after the school years are over.

Once a Cadet, Always a Cadet.

Football Raffle Winner Drawn

At Hilton Apple Fest, Jeremy Malone’s name was drawn as the winner of the Hilton Alumni Association’s football ticket raffle. He won two tickets to see Buffalo vs. the Jets at Highmark Stadium.

A special thank you to Mike Lee, Hilton alumnus, for once again generously donating the tickets. His continued support helps the Hilton Alumni Association provide classroom grants and scholarships for students pursuing skilled trades and technical careers.

Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets and supported HAA. Your participation makes a difference for today’s students!
