Sweden Farmers Museum Launching Featured Farmer Series

Sweden Farmers Museum will kick off a new series on Wednesday, October 21, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., highlighting local farmers who will share their farm’s history, personal stories, and current farming practices.
The first speaker in the series will be Dave Martin of Martin Farms. In the 1920s, John B. Martin bought a 100‑acre farm in Hilton. By 1938, he acquired additional farmland in nearby Brockport, where the business grew into what is now one of Western New York’s largest produce operations. The farm is known for its high‑quality cabbage and butternut squash, extensive cold‑storage facilities, and year‑round shipping operation.
Come listen to Dave Martin as he shares stories and photos highlighting the farm’s past and present. The presentation will be held at the Sweden Farmers Museum, 4988 Lake Road South, Brockport.

Please RSVP to the Sweden Town Hall at 585-637-2144 or by email to Townclerk@townofswedenny.gov, as space is limited.
