Wreaths Across America at Chili Cemeteries
Wreaths Across America Day is held each year to pay tribute to veterans’ cemeteries nationwide.
On December 19 at noon, Girl Scout Troop #64155, along with the Chili American Legion Family #1830, will support Westside and Chili Rural Cemeteries to remember and honor our veterans by laying remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes. NYS Department Commander Thomas Schreck will be the Guest of Honor for this year’s ceremony. Children are invited to participate in the laying of wreaths. Meet at 11:30 a.m. in the back of Westside Cemetery.
Volunteers will be flagging the graves that will receive wreaths on Sunday, November 15, at noon. Meet at the Chili American Legion at Post Home, 450 Scottsville-Chili Road.
Community members are invited to help honor and remember as many veterans as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting family and friends to attend. Visit https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/170330 for information.
