The Village of Hilton will celebrate the 2014 apple harvest by hosting its 34th annual Apple Fest on Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The 2014 Board of Directors of the festival has also been appointed. Linda Viney will serve as chairperson and treasurer of this year’s festival. Terry Quetschenbach and Jim Sage will serve as vice chairpersons, and Ginny Kidwell as secretary. The remaining board members include Cathy Carmestro, Joe Lee, Jane Mitchel, Alex Peters, Matt Ulakovic, Kristine Watson and Harriet Zunno.
The Board of Directors extends its thanks and farewell to John Sage and Jill Tobin for their exceptional service to the Apple Fest and the Hilton community as they step away from serving on the board this year. Their tireless efforts have been instrumental in making the festival a tradition and a success, according to board members.
Those interested are invited to attend the board meetings, which are usually held at the Apple Fest Office inside the Community Center on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. and are open to the community. Visit www.hiltonapplefest.org for other information.
