Brockport Fire officers selected
Members of the Brockport Firemen’s Association have announced this year’s line and civil officers.
Deputy Chief Don Marenus was elected to the position of Fire Chief, following the retirement of Chief Michael Henry who served in the Chiefs line for seven years.
Assistant Chief Michael LaDue was elected to the Deputy Chief position vacated by Marenus’ promotion.
Kenneth Smith, Jr., a 30-year member of the department, was elected to the position of Assistant Chief. Smith’s family has a long history with the department. Twelve members of Smith’s family, including his son, Branden, who now serves in the US Coast Guard, have served in the department, many in chief and other officer positions.
Captains are Jim Juby, Mike Menear, Chris Mros and Tim Russell. Lieutenants are Carl Bourke, Kyle Boyst, Joe Indelicato, Steve Ray and Joe Richards.
The Brockport Volunteers Fireman’s Association also conducted its annual election. Michael Corey was elected President with Willard Bird, Jr. being elected Vice President. Dean Westcott, Tim Henry and Larry Siegfried were elected as directors.
