New York State has recently granted school districts the authority to offer war or combat veterans a property tax exemption on school taxes. The Brockport Board of Education is holding a public hearing during a Special Board meeting on January 27 at 7 p.m. in the High School Auditorium to share information and get community input on the Veterans’ Exemption.
This hearing will insure that Brockport taxpayers have full and complete information on the exemption, and the options for full or partial implementation. It will also give the entire community an opportunity to share opinions and give feedback before the Board. Contact the Board Clerk at 585-637-1810 for additional information.
