Public input sought for Bergen Comprehensive Plan development

Community workshop scheduled for Thursday, March 19

The Town and Village of Bergen Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) invites residents, landowners, farmers, business operators and other interested citizens to share their vision for the future of the community. The CPC is updating the town and Village of Bergen Comprehensive Plan, which dates from 1996.

On Thursday, March 19 from 7 to 9 p.m., a public workshop on the Comprehensive Plan will be held at the Bergen Fire Department Hall. The workshop will start with a presentation on the Comprehensive Plan, followed by discussion about the topics to be addressed in the plan update:
•Housing and Residential Neighborhoods
•Business and Industrial Development
•Downtown Revitalization
•Natural Resources
•Agriculture and Farmland
•Parks and Recreation
•Transportation, Water, Sewer and other Infrastructure
•Government Services

In addition, all residents and business operators are encouraged to complete the Community Values Survey that was mailed to each household and business in the Town and Village of Bergen.
