Churchville-Chili approves Phase V Capital Project

Residents of the Churchville-Chili Central School approved the Capital Improvement Project: Phase V during a referendum vote December 8. The $22,678,000 project will receive funding through State Aid and the Capital Reserve Fund with no additional impact to the local tax share.

The primary areas of focus for this project are as follows:
•Replacing the existing six-lane pool with an eight-lane pool
•Replacing the current track to include better drainage
•Replacing the grass field inside the stadium with synthetic turf
•Updating Middle School HVAC (select areas) and replacing windows in the Middle School South building

Superintendent of Schools Lori Orologio says she appreciates the community’s support of the project. “This project allows us to focus on areas of need related to instructional and athletic programs for our students and community. I want to thank the voters for their support of our students and programs. I am proud of the collaborative work by the Board of Education and our administrative team who were diligent in developing a fiscally responsible project.”

Voting results are as follows: Total votes: 450; yes votes: 332; and no votes: 118.
